ARTS- Armstrong's Remarkably Talented Students

If you're attending the event, the Armstrong School District Foundation and Inspired Hearts and Hands will have food collection boxes at both entrances. Please consider bringing an unexpired, non-perishable food item to donate. Your contributions will directly support the community and help those in need.
Here are some ideas of what to donate:

ALERT

Keystone Exam Letter to Parents/Guardians

The purpose of this letter is to inform you that some of our students at WSHS will be taking the
Pennsylvania Keystone Exam(s) in the following subject areas: Algebra I, Biology and/or
Literature. If your student was enrolled in one of these classes and did not pass one of the exams,
he/she will be participating in this state requirement beginning the week of May 12, 2025. These
state exams are now a graduation requirement. Please click above to read the full letter.

Teacher Appreciation Week Survey

For teacher appreciation week, STUCO is asking students to tell us one thing they like about three of their favorite teachers to show our appreciation towards our teachers. A number of these will be announced on the announcements next week, your name will not be announced. Please fill out and submit the form above before next week, thank you!

PSSA Letter to Parents/Guardians

The Pennsylvania System of School Assessment Tests will be administered at West Shamokin Jr.-Sr.
High School beginning the week of April 21, 2025. Students in Grade 7 will take tests in English
Language Arts and Math, while students in Grade 8 will be assessed in English Language Arts, Math and Science. Please click above to access the full letter and schedule.

After School and Virtual Tutoring Available

After-school tutoring is available at WSHS at no charge every Monday through Thursday from 2:30 to 3:30 PM. If you have issues signing up on the tutoring calendars under the Parents/Students tab on the ASD website, students should just report to Room 20 before 2:30 PM. If tutoring is cancelled, an announcement will be made. If you prefer virtual tutoring, appointments can also be scheduled on-line.

Substitute positions available!

ASD is currently in need of substitute teachers, paraprofessionals and administrative assistants! You choose when you work and which building you would like to work at! If you like flexibility and working with children, any of these positions would be a great fit for you!

Chromebook Insurance

We highly recommend that you purchase insurance for your student's chromebook as you are responsible for any damages
