About Mrs. Strayer
Mrs. Strayer has been teaching in the Armstrong School District since 2003. She teaches Concert Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Music 7/8, and Intro to Guitar at West Shamokin High School. She is also an advisor for the Tri-M Music Honors Society. She earned her Bachelor's of Science in Music Education and her Masters Degree in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Outside of school, Mrs. Strayer enjoys gardening, playing in various performing ensembles, reading, and riding horses. She spends most of her summer competing with her horse in the hunter/jumper arena of equestrian sports. She lives at home with her husband, step-son, and their two cats named Tux and Melody.
